Who Is Credo AI Best For?
Small Businesses
1-25 EmployeesRarely a fit. Credo AI is built for enterprises and has no published price, self-serve tier or free trial, so a small team with a handful of AI tools may be better served by lighter policy templates.
Mid-Market Companies
26-100 EmployeesA fit where AI is already in production across teams and a regulator, customer or board is asking for evidence. A Gartner Peer Insights reviewer reports that setup takes effort for complex workflows, and a third-party review says pricing may be high for mid-sized teams.
Enterprise Companies
100+ EmployeesThe core segment. Forrester says Credo AI has the highest adoption among large global enterprises, and its case studies describe a global energy company with 500+ models and Mastercard with hundreds of generative AI use cases.
Regulated And Multi-Framework Teams
Any SizeFinancial services, energy, defense, pharma and insurance teams that need EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF or state-law mapping with audit evidence gain the most, provided the use case count justifies a custom contract.

Credo AI’s Pros & Cons
Balanced evaluation to help you make an informed decision
Strengths
- Governance-only focus covering registry, intake, policy packs, risk assessment, vendor risk and agents
- Pre-built packs for the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001, with more frameworks listed
- Available through both AWS Marketplace and Microsoft Marketplace private offers
- Pricing metric stated on AWS: annual subscription by number of AI use cases
- SOC 2 Type II report on request, and a Forrester Wave Leader placement per Credo AI
- Named enterprise customers and Gartner Peer Insights and G2 scores of 4.6 and 4.7
- Integrations with Snowflake, Databricks, ServiceNow, Jira, Slack and GitHub
Limitations
- No published price, no free trial and no pricing page that loaded for this review
- AWS listing shows $1.00 placeholder prices, so real cost is unknown until a private offer
- Case studies report no measured savings, and the only speed claim is a single 10x testimonial
- Review base is small, with 10 G2 reviews and 9 on Gartner Peer Insights, and reviewers cite setup effort
- Agent Governor is a research preview, and integration counts conflict between pages (300+ versus 30+)
- Gartner placed it as a Visionary rather than a Leader, per Credo AI, and a third-party review notes limited industry templates
Our Verdict
Credo AI is placed in Best in Pricing on a narrow basis, and the evidence is weaker than for a vendor with a price list. What is real: the AWS listing names the pricing metric (AI use cases), shows 12, 24 and 36 month terms and a private offer path, Microsoft Marketplace purchase can use Azure commitments, and a demo is offered. OneTrust’s AI governance page says pricing is based on admin users and AI inventory and directs buyers to a quote, with no prices listed. The honest caveat is that IBM watsonx.governance publishes indicative plans, including Risk and Compliance Basic from $3,500 per month and a 14 day free trial, which is more transparent than Credo AI. Credo AI shows no dollar price anywhere we found, and third-party sites say it is quote-only. Treat the tag as marketplace flexibility and a clear volume metric, not as proof of low cost, and get an itemized written quote with use case limits and overage rates.

What to Know
What to Know Before Buying
-
Case studies describe custom intake questionnaires and ServiceNow alignment
-
Value depends on how well it fits existing processes and tools, per a reviewer
-
Credo AI lists Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub and MLflow. Its homepage says 300+ integrations and its product page says 30+ ecosystem partners, so confirm each connector in writing.
-
The AWS listing prices by number of AI use cases with an overage rate, so cost grows as your inventory grows. Ask how agents, models and vendors count toward that metric.
-
No price list exists, so ask about use case limits, overage rates, extra modules, advisory services, implementation effort and renewal uplifts. The $1.00 AWS figures are placeholders.
-
Teams moving from spreadsheets, as the energy case study describes, need to import use cases and rebuild assessments in the registry. No migration fees or timelines are published.
-
The AWS listing offers 12, 24 and 36 month terms, and Credo AI says a custom EULA or private contract is available. No cancellation, refund or SLA terms were found in the pages reviewed.
Alternatives

See how Credo AI stacks up against competitors
OneTrust’s AI governance page covers inventory, risk assessments for the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001, and runtime guardrail enforcement. Its pricing page says pricing is based on admin users and AI inventory, with a call for a quote, while Credo AI prices by AI use cases and also sells through AWS and Microsoft marketplaces.
IBM’s pricing page lists indicative plans, including Risk and Compliance Basic from $3,500 per month, an AWS plan from $42,000 and a 14 day free trial, dated December 2024. Credo AI shows no dollar price, so IBM is more transparent, though the two are priced on different metrics.

FAQ’s
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Credo AI
Credo AI publishes no price. Its AWS Marketplace listing says the annual subscription is based on the number of AI use cases and sold by private offer, with $1.00 placeholder figures, and G2, Capterra and TrustRadius show pricing as unavailable or on request.
None of the listings reviewed mention a free trial or free tier. A third-party review says a free demo is available.
Yes. It has an AWS Marketplace listing with 12, 24 and 36 month terms and a Microsoft Marketplace listing, and Credo AI says Azure purchases can use an existing Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment. Both route pricing through a private offer.
Credo AI says it has a SOC 2 Type II report covering security, availability and confidentiality, and that an annual audit is planned. The report date and audit period are not stated, so request the report to review it.
Its pre-built policy packs include the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001, and its homepage also lists OMB M-25, Colorado ADMT and NAIC AI. These map controls and evidence and do not make your organization compliant on their own.
It offers an AI Agent Registry and an Agent Governor that its site lists as a research preview. Confirm what is generally available before buying for agent use cases.
OneTrust and Credo AI both direct buyers to a quote, while IBM publishes indicative plans from $3,500 per month and a 14 day trial. Credo AI offers marketplace purchase paths but is not more transparent than IBM.
Common alternatives include OneTrust, IBM watsonx.governance, Collibra and Microsoft Purview, which differ in whether they center on AI-specific governance, privacy and GRC, or data governance.
