A Published $25,000 Per Year Foundation Plan, Full Platform Access, And A Customer Success Manager Included

Thematic is a customer feedback analysis platform that turns surveys, reviews, support tickets, social posts and call transcripts into themes, sentiment and scores, with a human-in-the-loop editor for refining the AI’s output. Its pricing page lists a Foundation plan at $25,000 per year covering up to 25,000 comments and 3 datasets, with full platform access, an assigned Customer Success Manager and 24/7 support, plus a custom Enterprise proposal. Contracts are priced on comment volume, dataset count, analysis type and support level. That makes Thematic one of the few vendors in this category that states a paid entry price on its own site, though it is a four-figure monthly commitment with no free plan, and rivals may cost less for small teams.

Theming Agent

Theming Agent

Builds themes from customers’ own language across surveys, tickets, reviews and calls, so teams are not limited to a fixed keyword list. Thematic’s Theme Editor lets analysts validate and refine the result.

Scoring Agent

Scoring Agent

Predicts NPS, churn propensity and effort scores from feedback, so teams can score customers who never answered a survey.

Revenue At Risk

Revenue At Risk

Ranks themes by the revenue behind them, which helps CX teams argue for fixes in dollar terms. The homepage dashboard figures shown for it are illustrative, not customer results.

Workflows

Workflows

Routes insight to the teams and tools that act on it, so findings do not stay in a report.

AI Tools (MCP) And API

AI Tools (MCP) And API

An MCP server gives Copilot, Claude and ChatGPT access to Thematic’s analysis, and the Thematic API lets teams push data in and pull results out.

Reporting Service And Security

Reporting Service And Security

A managed reporting service and a partnership program sit alongside the platform, while the security pages describe encryption at rest and in transit, hosting in the US, EU or Australia on AWS, and PII redaction during ingestion.

WHO

Who Is Thematic Best For?

Ideal customer segments and business profiles

Small Businesses

1-25 Employees

Most small businesses will find $25,000 a year hard to justify unless feedback analysis is central to the business, and Thematic offers no free plan. Capterra reviewers say it works with small data sets, but Thematic recommends at least 2,000 verbatims.

Mid-Market Companies

26-100 Employees

A mid-market company with a CX or insights owner and a steady stream of survey comments or tickets can fit within Foundation’s 25,000 comments and 3 datasets. A G2 reviewer in the mid-market segment praises its quick insights and support.

Enterprise Companies

100+ Employees

Enterprise buyers get custom volume pricing, SSO, a SOC 2 Type II report and US, EU or Australia hosting, and Thematic names Vodafone, DoorDash and Atom Bank among its customers.

CX And Insights Teams

Any Size

Teams that need traceable themes tied to NPS, churn or revenue, rather than a generic text summary, fit Thematic’s focus on scoring and Revenue at Risk.

Thematic BENEFITS

Thematic’s Pros & Cons

Balanced evaluation to help you make an informed decision

Strengths

  • Foundation price of $25,000 per year published on its own pricing page
  • Full platform access and a Customer Success Manager included in Foundation
  • Theme Editor for human review of AI generated themes
  • Scoring Agent and Revenue At Risk tie feedback to NPS, churn and revenue
  • SOC 2 Type II report audited by A-LIGN, with SAML 2.0 SSO and PII redaction
  • Data hosting in the US, EU or Australia
  • G2 rating of 4.8 and named enterprise customers

Limitations

  • No free plan, and a $25,000 annual minimum
  • Foundation caps at 25,000 comments and 3 datasets, with overage terms not published
  • Pilot pricing and trial terms are not stated on the pricing page
  • Supported languages and specific integrations are not listed on the pages reviewed
  • Setup and training take time, according to Capterra reviewers
  • HIPAA is not mentioned on its security page, and review counts are small

Our Verdict

Thematic earns its Best in Pricing placement on price transparency, not on being the cheapest option. Its pricing page publishes a $25,000 per year Foundation plan with named limits and inclusions. Dovetail’s pricing page lists a Free plan limited to one channel and one project, and Enterprise with custom pricing and no figure. Enterpret publishes no plans or prices at all and says cost depends on data volume and the number of integrations. Thematic is therefore the only one of the three with a published paid price on its own site. The evidence is weak and should be read that way. A published price is not a low price, and Dovetail’s Free plan costs less to start. A third-party tracker reports Dovetail previously listed a $15 per user per month Professional plan before removing it in early 2026, so Dovetail’s real paid price now needs a quote. Enterpret lists unlimited user seats on all plans, while Thematic’s cap is 25,000 comments. No like for like price exists, so send each vendor the same comment volume and compare quotes.

What to Know

What to Know Before Buying

Key considerations for evaluating Thematic
  • Plan time to refine themes in the Theme Editor
  • Thematic works best with at least 2,000 rows of verbatims
  • Thematic offers one-click integrations, CSV uploads and an API, but its pages do not name specific integrations. Third-party reviews list Salesforce, Zendesk, Slack and Qualtrics, so verify your sources with Thematic.
  • Foundation covers 25,000 comments and 3 datasets, so growth moves you to a custom Enterprise proposal with volume discounts and custom limits.
  • Contracts depend on comment volume, dataset count, analysis type and support level. Overage rates, pilot fees and any reporting service costs are not published, so ask for them in writing.
  • Thematic’s themes are built from your own verbatims, so moving from another tool means re-ingesting data and revalidating themes. Its pages do not describe a migration program or export terms.
  • Foundation is priced per year. The pricing page does not state renewal, cancellation or trial terms, and its SOC 2 report is available on request from your Customer Success Manager.
